David Siegel: What about this parenting class requirement? Parents who have minor children going through a divorce with an Aurora divorce attorney, whether there be a custody battle or not, are required to take a parenting class county by county. What is the purpose of this?
Jesse Barrientes: Well I think the idea behind that is they want to educate the parents in terms of – you know –
David Siegel: Isn’t this government intervention?
Jesse Barrientes: Well, I don’t know if it’s government intervention, Dave, you know. But I do know that information can’t be bad. And I think that a lot of times again what I said just a few minutes ago that sometimes people try to do things for their own convenience. It’s not that going to a parenting class is necessarily going to make you a better parent. But what it’s going to do hopefully is to educate you, give you some ideas about what the child is going through. Because there are psychological implications for the children when they go through this process.
David Siegel: I’m just worried about the slippery slope. What about a class before they actually get married? A class before they get pregnant? A class before everything. At some point it’s enough with the class and we have to live our lives. But back to this –
