Parenting Agreement
The Parenting Agreement will detail the visitation schedule as it relates to Holidays, Summer vacations and Christmas vacations. The parties will refer to the Parenting Agreement as the legal bible when it comes to issues involving the minor child or children.
The Parenting Agreement will detail the visitation schedule as it relates to Holidays, Summer vacations and Christmas vacations. A divorce client should consider the visitation schedule when signing a Parenting Agreement.
A party can be sanctioned by the court for failing to adhere to the terms of the Parenting Agreement. If it is written, it should be done. If the Parenting Agreement provides for Tuesday evening visitation, then honor the Parenting Agreement and allow for Tuesday evening visitation.
Once the divorce is finalized, a Judgment for Dissolution is entered. That Judgment should contain the Parenting Agreement either within the document or as an attachment. The Parenting Agreement is of utmost importance. Many Judges will not grant a divorce which provides for joint custody without a Parenting Agreement.
